Team Composition Rules

Squad size11 players
Credit cap100 credits
Batters4–6
Bowlers3–6
All-rounders1–4
Wicketkeeper1–2
Max players from one real-life team7

These are the exact rules Team Builder enforces live as you pick your 11 — the credit-cap bar and role counters there won’t let you save a team outside them.

Captain & Vice-Captain

Captain — 2×: doubles every point they earn. Vice-Captain — 1.5×: earns 1.5x their points.

Pick both from your finalized 11 in Team Builder’s second step, where each candidate’s ownership % is shown so the choice isn’t blind.

How Leagues Work

Public Leagues

Open to everyone — this is the Global Leaderboard. Every team you save is automatically ranked against the entire NPL Fantasy community, free of charge.

Private Leagues

Invite-only groups of friends, family, or coworkers. Create one from League Create in seconds and share the generated invite code — anyone with the code can join, also free.

One squad, every league. Your Tournament Squad and its points are what get ranked in the Global Leaderboard and in every private league you join — there’s no separate squad to build per league.

Tournament Squad vs. Team Builder

Team Builder

Per-match. Pick 11 from just the two sides playing, before that match locks. Scores the “Matches” tab on the Global Leaderboard only. Build a fresh team for every match you want to enter.

Tournament Squad

Season-long. Draft 15 players once, from every team in the league. Scores the Overall Season leaderboard and every league you’re in — no rebuilding required match to match.

Your Tournament Squad splits into a Playing XI (11 starters) and a 4-player bench, in priority order. Each scoring window, if one of your Playing XI didn’t feature in a real match — rested, injured, or simply no fixture that window — your top eligible bench player automatically covers them. Nothing to do if you’re short on time; it only matters if you want to actively manage it.

A Gameweek is one full round of fixtures — every team plays once — and it’s the shared deadline for transfers, Playing XI changes, and Captain/Vice-Captain. Captain/VC changes are free and unlimited between Gameweeks. Transfers are more limited: one free transfer unlocks roughly every 3 days and banks up to 2 unused at a time; extra transfers beyond that cost −4 points, same as switching a player mid-season on most fantasy platforms.
